The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Razak, stated this while briefing newsmen at the council chambers in the state government secretariat on Tuesday.
The commissioner further disclosed that other health workers in the frontline on the COVID-19 in the state will in addition be given 25000 daily allowances which is 20,000 higher than what the state previously pay.
The last category of workers are those directly at isolation centres who will receive risk allowances of 25000 and 10,000 for contact tracers which will non-core health workers.
Government further agreed to begin insurance for workers as well as the employees compensation insurance.
While government agrees not to tax healthcare workers at this period, it however rejected a demand for extension of service for healthcare workers due for retirement during the COVID-19 period which is in accordance with the presidency directive he added.
