The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sadiq Sueleiman Umar has expressed grief and disbelief over the sudden death of the former Provost, Kwara State College of Education Technical, Lafiagi, Alhaji Alhassan Boni Ishiaku.
A statement signed by the the media team of Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, the lawmaker commiserated with the Emir of Ilesha – Baruba, Prof. Halidu Ibrahim Abubakar, his family and entire community.
The statement also sympathized with the College of Education Technical, Lafiagi and the Kwara State at large.
“The late Garkuwa of Ileshaland and former Provost died when his contributions to the community development was needed more, particularly at this period of educational and political development, describing the death as a rude shock.
The statement noted that the decease served with passion and commitment leaving no one in doubt that he was a dependable elder statesman who contributed his quota to the educational advancement of Kwara north, development of Ilesha traditional institution among others, stressing that such a loss was deeply hurting especially looking at the vacuum created by his demise.
It however urged the Emir, immediate family and the state as a whole to take solace to the fact that while the former Provost was alive, he gave his best to the people, prayed Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannah firdaous and indeed his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
